Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic is becoming increasingly popular, as it reduces or eliminates wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing the small muscles that produce frown lines and crow's feet around the eyes. BOTOX® Cosmetic consists of a purified form of the botulinum toxin, which is effective at very small doses when injected around small muscles. Treatment will be individualized, but usually involves a small number of injections just above the central eyebrows and just below the outer brow into the crow's feet. A typical treatment entails the use of 25 units of BOTOX® Cosmetic at $14/unit or $350 per treatment. Some individuals require lesser amounts. The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic typically last 3-4 months, though the wrinkle reduction effect may last longer. We schedule patients on specific days to allow timely use of each reconstituted vial. Consultations may be scheduled alone or in conjunction with a treatment.
